Cyberpunk 2080

Set in the world of Mike Pondsmith's “Cyberpunk” series, Cyberpunk 2080 starts as the name suggests three years after the events of Cyberpunk 2077.

Your character finds themselves in Night City, the City of Dreams. At least, that’s what is often said of it, regardless if you ever see your dream come true or not. For most, Night City is hell. Inescapable poverty, extreme and frequent violence, crime rates off the charts, and more. But the dream keeps everybody going, and a few find that the only way to even have a chance of seeing that dream, is by taking it to the Edge, and putting everything on the line.

As for your character’s knowledge, they know that Arasaka Tower was attacked in 2077, and that their popular “Secure your Soul” program was effectively destroyed, tanking Arasaka’s stocks and profits- but Arasaka is anything but weak. Following these events, Arasaka is still weakened, but on the path of recovery. Now, Night City is as it always was: a testament to corporate greed, blazing comets of Edgerunners seeking to live the dream, and constant struggle for the millions that live there.

Server Lore

Cyberpunk 2080 attempts to provide a sandbox for your character to do as they want. We seek to allow your character to make an impact on Night City, assuming they've put in the effort and time.

The Timeline Divergence

Note, that while the world of Cyberpunk is derived from real life and its history, you will not see most of, if not any modern age mannerisms.

In Cyberpunk 2080, the major divergence in the timeline is set at the year 1995.

This means that any memes, video games, movies, shows, companies, and all other forms of media or creations from real life did not occur after 1995. Most of the things created before 1995 have also been either bought out and made defunct by corporations, faded into obscurity, or are considered absolutely ancient.

It is important to keep this in mind with in-character interactions, as anything mentioned from 1995 onwards will make zero sense.
